Who am I? About Me

A Few Words About MyselfWho's Chadwick?

I’m a visual artist working with photography and mixed media. My work explores light, projection, and the body, printed mostly on aluminum for its clean, reflective quality.

I am more of a discover who I am through conversation, versus me telling you everything about me in a few paragraphs, so since you don’t know me…

I moved to New York City in 2000, picked up my first digital camera, and started experimenting with Photoshop. Shortly after arriving, I studied electrical and computer engineering for three and a half years, then changed paths to graduate from Full Sail University in 2005 with a degree in Recording Arts in audio engineering. I became a junior engineer, working in sound design at Sony Music Studios in NYC. I worked on many large-scale projects with prominent artists like Alicia Keys, Elton John, Patti Labelle, and Dana Owens, a.k.a. Queen Latifah, to name a few. More importantly, I collaborated with some of the world’s most renowned audio engineers. I began in the pit with guys like Bob Schoct from Sesame Street, Paul Ferreti, and Mike Fisher, who were known for SNL skits. I finished my Sony Experience working directly for Sue Pelino, the Queen of MTV’s audio engineering. The knowledge acquired over the years at Sony was priceless.

While working for Sony Music, I built my own project studio at home and took on independent film directors for sound design. I sound designed RuPaul’s camp film, Starrbooty. Later, I won Best Audio Engineering at a film festival for the film Dissonance.

After Sony,  came my ten-year journey with Scholastic. During those years, I built three studios, which were nonexistent until I arrived. The last Studio we built, located in SoHo, NYC, included a chroma green cyclorama, a product photography studio, and a photography space where I led a production team to create content for Book Clubs. It was another fulfilling chapter in my life—my Scholastic family will always be with me in spirit.

Over time, I’ve built audio and video studios, sound-designed and video-edited films, photographed hundreds of thousands of products, people, places, and things, and was a product photographer and professional retoucher for twenty-one of Estée Lauder’s brands.

As COVID hit, I had just finished photographing Double Exposure 2.0, part of my ongoing 11Eleven Project, while earning a business degree. After COVID and graduating, I knew it was time to start a new chapter in my life.

Now, I am based between Miami and New York, focused on the 11ELEVEn Project. I’ve completed Double Exposure, 2 of 11, which is up for sale in my online gallery and various other venues. I have already begun to work on 3 of 11. With this next project, I aim to create work that lives in meaningful spaces—hotels, lounges, curated boutiques, or even your home.

If any of this resonates, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always open to connecting with new people.
